The Willamette Week, Momentum Marketing and OakTree Digital's collaborative efforts throughout the Give!Guide 2007 holiday charity drive raised over $500,000 for the forty-nine non-profits in the Guide. That's a 200%+ increase over last year. Read the story about the results.

The Willamette Week organized the non-profits to participate, Momentum staff selected the Skidmore Fountain Award winners and OakTree built the e-commerce and tracking site. It was a great partnership!

This year's Give!Guide collected funds for 49 non-profits in eight categories. The site OakTree donated showed the minute-by-minute, real-time donation totals for each category of giving - the arts, animals, community, environment, youth, health, schools and social welfare - as well as the amount raised for each of the non-profits. Information about each organization was easily accessed from the front page and secure, online donations were made to one or multiple groups in a single transaction. OakTree built the technology behind the e-commerce site and designed a fresh look that promoted the guide and facilitated the giving process.

"Once again, OakTree created an intuitive and easy-to-navigate site," said Willamette Week publisher, Richard Meeker. "We couldn't be happier with OakTree's contribution and are thrilled to have their support."

The Give!Guide also honors four Skidmore Award winners chosen for their tireless efforts for local non-profits. The winners are Portlanders under the age of 35 and are chosen through an interview process by the dedicated staff of Momentum Market Intelligence and Cindy Dederick of Research Edge. Over the past four years, the Give!Guide has quickly became a popular and well-recognized charitable event for its wide appeal to a variety of non-profits.

OakTree has a strong track record of community involvement, including work with Solv, Janus Youth Programs, Oregon Food Bank, St. James Child Development and Community Cycling Center.
