Widmer, OakTree Digital Partner for Online Collaboration

PORTLAND, OR – (June 13, 2006) Widmer Brothers Brewing (WBB), a manufacturer of high quality, hand-crafted beers in the Western United States, is partnering with OakTree Digital to create and implement online sales applications related to pricing, accounts payable processing, and contact management.

“Our previous approach was to work around the limitations of off-the-shelf applications,” WBB Business Analyst Josh Gettman said. “Now we are going to leverage technology, using OakTree to create systems that are tailored to our needs and provide overhead cost efficiencies as we continue to grow.”

The partnership between and Widmer and OakTree includes applications that feature immediate access to sales summaries and client-specific account information. A high-level view of performance indicators will allow WBB staff and other field personnel to view the market from a real-time perspective.

"The opportunity to work with Widmer is a privilege," said John Schmitt, President of OakTree Digital. "They are a forward-looking company ready to adopt new technologies to solve rapidly changing business conditions.”

The first project, a phased e-commerce site, was launched in August 1, 2006 and features Widmer-branded products. These range from apparel to tap handles and can be ordered via the Widmer online store by visiting http://shop.widmer.com. Customers create a password-protected account and have the convenient option of purchasing “Beer Gear” based on brand or category.
