OakTree Digital Publishes WWeek's Give!Guide 2007 Website

PORTLAND, OR – (November 15, 2007) For the second year OakTree Digital and the Willamette Week have partnered to provide an online e-commerce website that benefits local non-profits during the 2007 holiday season. Willamette Week's Give!Guide 2007 website is expected to generate record donations this year. Last year's site generated $228,000 for 36 participating non-profits. This year there are 49 non-profits in eight categories.

The Give!Guide 2007 site shows real-time donation totals for each category of giving - including the arts, animals, community, environment, youth, health, schools and social welfare - as well as the amount raised for each of the non-profits. Information about each organization can be easily accessed from the front page and secure, online donations can be made to one or multiple groups in a single transaction. OakTree built the technology behind the e-commerce site and designed a fresh look that promotes the guide and facilitates the giving process.

The real-time bar graphs show the donation amounts for each charity and generate competition and interest between the charities. The Give!Guide site will be open until mid-night Dec 31st.

"Once again, OakTree created an intuitive and easy-to-navigate site," said Willamette Week publisher, Richard Meeker. "We couldn't be happier with OakTree's contribution and are thrilled to have their support."

The Give!Guide 2007, also honors four Skidmore Award winners, chosen for their tireless efforts for local non-profits. The winners are Portlanders under the age of 35 and are chosen through an interview process by the dedicated staff of Momentum Market Intelligence and Cindy Dederick of Research Edge. Over the past four years, the Give!Guide has quickly became a popular and well-recognized charitable event for its wide appeal to a variety of non-profits.

OakTree has a strong track record of community involvement, including work with Solv, Janus Youth Programs, Oregon Food Bank, St. James Child Development and Community Cycling Center.
