We Believe in Our Community

OakTree Digital believes that long-term community prosperity goes hand-in-hand with a healthy environment. We have received the Blue Works Business award Blue Works Award Imagefrom the City of Portland Office of Sustainable Development, which means we’ve made a commitment to recycling, waste prevention, and buying recycled products.

We express our values by forming partnerships with local business vendors whenever possible. We are a member of the Sustainable Business Network of Portland and are proud to be a part of their Local First campaign.

OakTree Digital has participated with the following organizations through membership, sponsorship or voluntary service:

  • Willamette Week Give!Guide – OakTree Digital, the Willamette Week and Momentum Market Intelligence partnered to provide an online e-commerce web site that benefited local non-profits during the 2009 holiday season. The 2009 Give!Guide site displayed real-time donation totals for each category of giving – including community and the arts, animals and the environment, youth, health and social welfare. The combined efforts collected $916,094.20 in support of 79 local non-profits.
  • Ronald McDonald House Program - provides a comfortable, affordable "home away from home" to families of seriously ill and injured children who travel long distances for specialized medical treatment in local hospitals. OakTree volunteers to provide meals for this program.
  • SOLV - a non-profit organization that brings together government agencies, businesses and individual volunteers in programs and projects to enhance the livability of Oregon. OakTree participates in beach clean-up projects.  
  • 1Thing Program – OakTree is a major sponsor for www.1thingnw.com, a community service of Entercom Portland. This program promotes a vision of sustainability to create a better vision for the future of our community.
