PORTLAND, OR – (November 14, 2008) For the third year in a row, OakTree Digital and the Willamette Week have partnered to provide an online giving website that benefits fifty-five local non-profits during the 2008 holiday season. Despite it being an election year, Willamette Week's 2008 Give!Guide  is expected to exceed last year’s impressive $518,000 in donations. This year there are 55 non-profits, presented in eight categories, like Arts, Environment, Social Action, etc.

The 2008 Give!Guide site includes real-time, database-driven donation totals for each category of giving, as well as the dollar amount raised for each of the non-profits. Information about each organization can be easily accessed from the front page and secure, online donations can be made to one or multiple groups in a single transaction. OakTree built the technology behind the e-commerce site.

The Flash-based, database-driven graphs show the donation amounts for each non-profit and generate friendly competition and interest between the non-profits. The Give!Guide site will accept donations until mid-night on Dec 31st.

"Working with OakTree is simply a delight — and the results from their web work show how incredibly good John Schmitt's team is, too. The site they've created for us is intuitive and easy to navigate" said Richard Meeker, Willamette Week's publisher and president.

"Everyone we've dealt with at OakTree over the past three years has incredibly responsive to any and all questions we've raised. As an added bonus, they're a delightful group to work with. We couldn't be happier."

The 2008 Give!Guide, also honors four Skidmore Award winners, chosen for their tireless efforts for the local non-profits they represent. The winners are Portlanders under the age of 35, selected through an interview process facilitated by the dedicated staff of Momentum Market Intelligence.

Over the past five years, the Give!Guide has quickly became a popular and well-recognized charitable event for its wide appeal to a variety of local non-profits in the Portland metro area.
