PDC Site Re-design Awarded to OakTree
Portland, OR July 2, 2009 -- OakTree Digital announces the award of the Portland Development Commission’s web site re-design and content management system implementation project.
After their close evaluation of the fifty proposals and intensive interviews with the four finalist agencies, PDC selected OakTree Digital as the agency that offered “the best overall value, benefit, convenience and service to PDC.”
“We are thrilled to have earned the trust of the PDC to re-design their site, especially when we learned we’d been selected over forty-nine other companies!” said OakTree Digital President, John Schmitt.
The Portland Development Commission plays a key role in creating a diverse, sustainable and healthy urban environment for all Portlanders. The overall goal of the project is to redesign the PDC website so it is easier to navigate and visually more appealing, with a friendly and professional tone that supports PDC’s mission.
OakTree Digital recommended building the new site using the Sitefinity (.NET) content management system. This easy-to-use CMS will provide an easy and cost effective way for PDC to maintain and update the site with current content. PDC's new site design will also offer greater interactivity and the opportunity to incorporate social media tools for easy online sharing of content.
